mail doesnt work :(

It's not difficult to install myLounge Redirection, but sometimes it's quite tricky. Post your questions in here.

mail doesnt work :(

I use a rehad server with all the latest soft.
instalation works great, no errors at all :)

But when we do a test sign up.......the mail isnt send.
also tell a friend mail doesnt work

so the mail doesnt woijk.

Has anybody a solution for me please?

I could send you the old release, but it also uses the php mail() function, so there should be no difference.
Have you got acces to the mail() function?
Do other scripts which send emails work?

Yes i had a flatfile php forum running, and the mail function worked fine.
I run my own server, so i am able to change all the settings.

I tried a mail script also, that works also .....

maybe some chmod setting?......i dont know
I chmodded them all also to 777, but that didnt help either.

I have cgi scripts with mail funtions also running.......that also sends out the emails.

The server OS is redhat 8.0

Sorry i forgot something,

the script runs fine, without any problem.
The redirect works great.......

It is only the email :cry:

i try to set it up now.

I just installed another script. also a redirection script.....also php

gues what with the mail.........lol

NO GO,

so it must be a setting over here i am shure.

mine randomly started to work after a few days, and it takes forever to send them.

The php function on a redhat box uses the sendmail feature. (Maybe restart sendmail?)

Andel, sounds like a lot of mail problems... I'll install and see what I find.
