Yes, but which php version exactly?
I'm sure you have one less than 4.1 - so the scripts never will work.

you can find the version yourself:

make a new file info.php, and place inside that file the following contents:

Code: Select all
<?php
echo phpinfo();
?>

now got to the file with your browser and look at the first line :D

try with extension .php, not .phtml
and make sure it is in a new file!

You are on a free host, so what do you expect?
If you move your website to a paid host, you will surely have better possibilities to run the scripts...namely more modern versions of php.
Ask coolfreepages which version of php they use.

cooko
for the domain name

and for the target url i typed

http://home.1asphost.com/ninjakiwi/CookoSoft/
but when i clicked look up it displayed an odd error. :cry:

Something has happened...an error?
http://home.1asphost.com/ninjakiwi/CookoSoft cannot be reached now.
Did you put a trailing slash (/) at the end of the target URL(help)?

:(
Please help me if you can.

This error says it all: you didn't put a trailing slash at the end.
And for release 1.4: it needs php 4.1 or newer, and it looks like if you don't have it installed.

Another possibility is, that coolfreepages does not allow connections to remote sites.
I have a good advice: GET A PAID HOST

:x what do you mean remote linking and i already said thies i Can't affored PHP, and mysql right now im looking at about 10 years before i can

Plus thats a joke it makes the script not worth it if you get it becouse for

1) Theres no way that i know of to use thies for commercail uses so you can't make money of it.

2)from what you say i need to get a paid for host that will cost between
20-100 dollers a month and i can't affored that and i am Rounding Down

3)The only reseeon im useing thies is to shorten some of my other really long urls like my web wiz forum at 1asphost.com
and thats about it

So you have to be kiding when you say PAID FOR HOST it wouldn't be worth it.

so now please can thies post get back on track

Can someone please help me without repeating what others have said like a broken record.
