A bit of help please!

Postby kektex » Sun Dec 18, 2005 4:42 am

Hello,
I just tried installing the script after I got my host to add the wildcard for my domain but after the installation for some reason the domain will not work.
It just tries to access the site and it doesn`t do anything.
I think the problem is on step 3 of the installation where it asks me to choose the page it should show if the subdomain does not exist.I chose index.php for now while I make a "domain not found" page.
What should go in that box?
Thanks for any help!

Also when I try to view my site in firefox I get the "Redirection Limit for this URL" error. It seems to me like the site is stuck in an endless redirection loop.
THe domain is www.xn6.net

OK for everyone that finishes the installation and has the same error as me I think the problem is that you are not actually supposed to directly access your domain as is.YOu might need to make a different index page.

When you try to access your domain, say, example.com directly it tries to access the index.php file without any arguments which maybe what is throwing the script in an infinite redirection loop.

This is not very clear in the readme file on the script and needs to be explained a bit better.

Think it says it in the readme.

If you already have a file called "index.php" or "index.html" in your web root, rename it (for example "index2.php" or better "home.php" or "home.html") and use this one.

You can still use the now called "index2.php"/"home.php"/"home.html" as your default startpage
