Wildcard setup, subdomain forwards to main page.

This is so weird.. its been few weeks since the Wildcard been setup. Now the problem is, when someone signs up.. it never sends them to that page they want to send to.. instead frames the main index.html page of the main site. so if you sign up with sub.domain.com it takes you to domain.com/index.html
if you type a subdomain out of the blues like "whateverMrNiceGuy.domain.com" it takes you to 'domain.com/index.html'

what am I doing wrong?
