Problems with redirection

i have been running myred successfully for the past few months. Then I had to change host and I switched to hivehosting.net. I re-installed myred without uploading the old database and tried to access one of the subdomains expecting it to redirect to the main page. But it didn't.

I checked with my host and found out they had activated wildcard dns. What could the problem be? My site is 5jb.net & 5jb.biz. 5jb.net is a parked domain.

check again with your ISP...

if you put www.foo.5jb.net the wild card send to your root, in your case send to search engine.

is a good teste to check if the wind card has correctly put www.foo.5jb.net and see the result..

try in my site (or other ) : www.foo.3wr.net ... the system redirect to "not found" page.

I asked the ISP & the wildcard dns had been activated. I did a ping and the results were positive. I think there might be another problem. Is it possible that the redirection will not work if 2 url redirection sites are running on the same server?

Maybe the ISP using a IP sharing, you need on ip exclusive for use de service, about the domain, I Think yes, I have tested 3wr.net and 3wr.info and work fine, I just configure the .info inside the .net using Parked Domains. and in the system add a new domain.

Thanks jissa but I can't afford it. It comes up to 60 malaysian ringgit a month and 720 malaysian ringgit a year.

I really can't afford to change host again. Can anyone please help me pin point my problem. I'll be happy to fill you up.

You dont need an exclusive IP.

The script works fine on a server with a shared ip and several users running the script.

Have you added *.A.IP addy to the dns zone

I did not understand what you said so I asked my hoster and he replied the folowing message:

Dear Sir,

I have updated the serial number in the DNS zone and reloaded it. It appears
to be working correctly.

I tested the subdomains but they still don't work.

Damn, another problem. Everytime a subdomain is called it redirects and searches for index.php. Example: one of the subdomains redirects to musician.freelinuxhost.com/index.html but when themusician.5jb.net is typed out it redirects to musician.freelinuxhost.com/index.html/index.php
