Root folder???

Postby Bounce2us » Mon Dec 01, 2003 3:35 pm

What exactly is meant by root folder? I have installed it this script in my public_html folder which is accessible to visitors and seems to be working fine. When testing I get a confirmation email and everything. But the redirection takes me to a page like this (http://web.Bounce2.Us) the original web address is (http://www.viewstep.com) So it appears that it is working on my server to a certain extint. My question is, is this still a wildcard problem or should my script be installed in a directory other than my public_html folder. I have one folder above this one that is not accessible to visitors. If it is still a wildcard problem my host uses (web host manager) and (cpanel) for it's clients. What other steps must be taken when getting this script to work for me. My webhost is ready and willing to assist me with whatever I am needing.

Thanks

When someone gets redirection through my service, where is all of this infromation stored on my server? I mean, when looking at the files on my server, where would there be any information that I could view, to see if this script, is doing anything.

The installation in public_html is correct. There still seems to be a wildcard problem.
