Hi all.

I have finally gotten the major bugs worked out for a site I am launching.

http://2our.com URL Redirection

Please take a look and give your comments.

The biggest thing I wanted to share is how I implemented features into the ad bar. My assumption is that users wouldn't mind an ad bar if it were at the bottom of the page and appeared to be a part of their site. With this in mind I integrated a topsite list and myred's counter along with myred's directory into the bar.
See an example here:

Also, I've noticed when using Firefox that the counter increases by 3 or 4 rather than by one.
Has anyone else noticed this?

And finally, can anyone give a newbie some tips on getting traffic to the site? What techniques and all did any of you use?

Thanks all and Thanks for Myred.

wow bit over kill on the adds on your main page it looks very cluttered, its not easy to find the sign up link.

I dont no how you have the thing set up but do all sites have to have adds on ? or do you give them the option, the banner looks ok i keep meaning to add a banner option on mine.

Hi Scooby,
Thanks for the input.

I've rearranged the front page. I wasn't real happy with it's original appearance either. It should look better with less clutter and sign up should be easier to find with a sign up box on the main page.

All sites have ads turned on with the exception of the Religion, Educational, and Nonprofit catagories.
Visitors to member sites have the option of turning the ad box off and viewing the site without masking by clicking the close box at the upper right of the info/ad frame.

Once again, thanks for the input. :D
Try it once and you'll never go back!
