cant visit index.php...

i just installed this script and followed the install instructions. when i try to goto the index.php in my root, it redirects so many time it says URL redirect limit exceeded in Firefox, and in IE it doesnt display anything

you dont view the index.php you need to log into the admin and set the real start page to be your site ie index.html or home.html or even the registerpage of my red.
