404 error! need help!

Postby siam » Thu Aug 14, 2003 12:49 am

i'm installed mylounge 1.4 to my windows2000 advance server, and everything is fine, all regiest infomation store in mysql database, but when i use the sub-domain, always 404 error, can not find pages.

but i add wildcard dns on win2000 dns server, and when i ping anything.mydomian.com i got my ip address, is this mean my wildcard dns correct?

is this program support windows system? how to install on windows2000 server ?

I have no experience running it on windows systems. Do they support .htaccess files?

One .htaccess file is needed to run the scripts. It tells the apacheserver what to do in certain cases (404 errors, directory index,...).

on win2000 server, web run on IIS 5.0, not on apache, so it mean .htaccess files not run. is the problem i can not run your scripts on win2000 server even have correct wildcard dns setup?

is possible run your scripts without .htaccess files ? or do you have another way to make this scripts run on win2000 server?

thank you~

You don't need .htaccess and it will run without them. (Unless Andel changed the script again :P)

What domain are you trying to work with? What is your URL? Would help us to figure out what is wrong.

If you ping *.yourdomain.com and you get your IP, then it should be set up.
