Thanks for the advice with the wildcard settings. My site is now working really well.

I had not much experience of php before starting this project, but from dissecting your code (i like the $do variable, very efficient!) i have learnt a lot. My project has resulted in my taking the code apart and only using some fragments, and rewriting everything else specifically for my needs, but it was an invaluable start and helped me very much.
