Blank Page

Postby Msistas » Wed Apr 16, 2003 3:41 am

HI Again,

I've just installed the new script - upgraded.

Everything was upgraded quickly.

The only problem I have is that some of the redirects from the old script would go do a directory such as:

My redirect would go to
http://www.mydomain.com/directorytoredirect/

And it was seemless.

Now though, with the upgrade, when I type in my redirect it goes to that very URL BUT, if the main file in that directory is index.shtml it produces a blank page.

IF I update the URL and put in:
http://www.mydomain.com/directorytoredirect/index.shtml

It works fine.

The only problem with this is... that I have several subdomains setup with this index.shtml as the index page and the redirects are to the directory only not to the direct page.

Is there a way this can be fixed?

Thanks ;)

Wrong Problem explained

Postby Msistas » Wed Apr 16, 2003 3:43 pm

Hi Again,

I have the wrong interpretation on how the problem is being caused.

Bascially any subdomain that was transfered into this new version produces a blank page.

(the ones I had manually changed contained index.shtml but this doesn't apply because I tested another one that didn't go to an index.shtml and it did the same thing.)

Here is a sample URL:
http://nitroclicks.sharethebiz.com

I have manually changed some, and they work. My problem is that one domain I have, has a LOT of subdomains setup and I don't know how to fix this and don't want to do each and every one of them manually :(

Your assistance is very appreciated ;)

The problem is, that the domains, which produce a blank page, are not categorized. I'm afraid that you have to add a category for each of your old subdomains, then redirection will work.

Is there a quick way to do this with 300 subdomain setup?

You could send out a mail to all users and tell them to login and change the category for their subdomain.
