Hey, installing troubles (access denied for user)

Hey,

Okay, check this out. In cPanel, I created the DB and User. In the VARS file I added that DB and user, along with the Password and host address.

My host allows wildcard, as well as everything I need to run this script.

Anyway, while accessing the setup.php file, everything seemed in order, so I clicked "continue" and got a nasty error:

Access denied for user: '(here's my username)' to database '(here's my DB name)'

I'm stumped. I added the user and DB, wrote it all in right, and uploaded with smart FTP. Any ideas of what to do next?

Have you put it in the vars file right it should be like the following.

$mysql_username = 'user56_123';

// mysql-password
$mysql_passwd = 'yourpassword';

// the name of the database
$mysql_dbase = 'user56_name';

Yes, all of that is (or should be) correct. I added the database in cPanel by adding a Mysql database.

Try adding the username and password manually to the database using cPanel. I had this problem too.

I already told you I added the info in cPanel, no need to regurgitate

In Cpanel under the add mysql page, I created a username and password, but the password I was using was a 6 number combination, which apparently is unacceptable in cpanel. of course it gave me no warning (might need to tell Cpanel they've got a bug).

I see this page: "Welcome to the myLounge Redirection 1.4 setup!"
mySQL Server data values(username and password and mysql host) is correct, when i click continue it says

Access denied for user: 'wweb_name@localhost' to database 'nuke'

what i must do to do installation?

Ich gehe mal davon aus daß Du irgend etwas durcheinander wirfst. Das Nuke arbeitet hauptsächlich mit relativen Pfaden. Der Redirector hat aus der Sicht des Nukes einen anderen Pfad bekommen und arbeitet im Kreis. Wenn Du jetzt noch verschiedene Sups auf Deinem Web hast dann kannst Du Schwierigkeiten bekommen. Was dann noch dazu kommt daß Du Deine Sumaoptimierung danach ruiniert hast.
Ich würde es mit einer zusätzlichen Domain versuchen.
