myLounge Redirection 1.4 Beta finished

Postby andelal » Sun Feb 16, 2003 8:03 am

The beta is finished and is running...
Some members will get their copy in the next hours - I am waiting for feedback.

Alex

Ok, here are the bugs so far:

* in setup.php, the text field max size for the main domain is set to 15 - it should be set to 50 (fixed) thanks to scooby
* spelling error in english.php "hompeage description" should be "homepage description" (fixed) thanks to scooby
* adding a new domain in the admin panel: now it says "without http://www." to avoid mistakes thanks to scooby
* another small error in english.php: instead of "...looking forward to answer your..." it should be "...looking forward to answering your..." (fixed) thanks to scooby
* bug in "forbidden words" function: if there's an empty value, the function returns an error (fixed) thanks to scooby
* bug(?) in setting "registering date": is defined as a value of "0" (zero).(fixed) thanks to scooby (best tester I've ever seen :D )

Scooby sends me lots of mails with bugs, so I don't know the exact day when it's finished.

1.) Is it possible to turn the stats option globally on and off instead of turning them on/off for each member?
2.) I´m missing the webserver option! Why isn´t it included anymore?

ok - that´s it so far! still testing v1.4!

greetings, Testosteron

Ad 1.) Yes, but you have to edit register.php
Find the line "// What to do now? If Admin has set "autoapprove" to on"
2 lines above you see a mysql_query. After "$ip','$category','$date'," set the next value from 'off' to 'on'.
Ad 2.) I mailed several webmasters, and they told me, that no one uses this function. This is reasonable, because most of us (me too) are sitting behind firewalls and/or routers and simply can't use this feature.
So I decided to not include this anymore.

if you read here it will tell you why theres no webserver http://www.mylounge.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=12

you can still do it manually by putting ip addy in.
